Suzlon secures an order of 25.2 MW from Sri Kumaraswamy Mineral Exports Pvt. Ltd.

  • To supply 12 wind turbines with a rated capacity of 2.1 MW each
  • Project to be installed at Hanumanthappa, in Vijayanagara district in Karnataka with a total installed capacity of 25.2 MW
  • Project to be commissioned by 2024
  • A project of this size can provide electricity to ~16 thousand households and curb ~0.6 lakh tonnes of CO2 emissions per year

Pune, India: Suzlon Group, India's largest renewable energy solutions provider, today announced a new order win for the development of a 25.2 MW wind power project for Sri Kumaraswamy Mineral Exports Pvt. Ltd. (SKMEPL). Suzlon will install 12 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular tower at Hanumanthappa, in Vijayanagara district in Karnataka and is expected to be commissioned in 2024.

Suzlon will supply the wind turbines (equipment supply) and execute the project including, erection and commissioning. Suzlon will also provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services post commissioning.
