Suzlon at the FT Energy Transition Summit

Good Energies for Good. For humanity’s secure progress.

Suzlon leaders join the FT stage in London to make one case: energy security is built from clean power that’s made close to home and made to last. With “Powering a World Under Pressure” as the event theme, the conversation will spotlight the role of resilient, homegrown renewable energy in strengthening long-term energy security.

  • 19–20 October 2026
  • The Landmark London
  • In person and digital

Our point of view

Security is built, not borrowed.

A major energy shock has put security back at the top of every boardroom agenda. Electricity demand is climbing with electrification and the rise of AI, and the question facing leaders is no longer whether to build new power, but what to build it from and who carries the risk.

Wind is domestic, fast to deploy and free of fuel price swings. When it is manufactured, installed and serviced by a partner that stays for the life of the asset, it becomes one of the most dependable answers a country has.

That is what we mean by Good Energies for Good.

Summit themes

The key themes we are here to move forward.

  • Energy security in times of war: exposure, price and dependenceThe power that no border can interrupt.
  • Trade and supply chainsThe supply chain that is built close to the site.
  • Grid to unlock growth: upgrading infrastructure for renewables and AIThe grid that grows with the generation.
  • From transition to addition: energy systems under political and demand pressureThe transition that adds, not just replaces.
  • Powering AI: who supplies the next wave of electricity demand? The round-the-clock demand that clean power can meet.
  • Risk, resilience and affordabilityThe risk that is shared, not shifted.

Leadership

The people carrying our point of view.

Portrait of Girish R. Tanti

Co-Founder, Suzlon Group

Girish R. Tanti

Keynote interview. Tue 20 October, 10:20–10:40 BST (2:50–3:10 pm IST). Joining virtually, in conversation with Pilita Clark, Financial Times.

Girish Tanti is Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of the Suzlon Group. He has a Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the United Kingdom, and brings nearly three decades of experience in renewables and international business.

He incubated Suzlon's renewable energy business in 1995 and has since set up technology development centres in Europe and India, built the global supply chain and developed wind markets across India and abroad. He has been instrumental in Suzlon's rise to become the only wind energy player from a developing nation to rank among the top five worldwide.

Focus. How Suzlon is moving from wind manufacturing to full-stack, dispatchable renewable power, and what India’s grid build-out and rising global demand mean for energy security.

Points he will make

  • Disruption sped up India’s electrification
  • Grid waits of about 3 years, against up to 6 in the West
  • Full-stack FDRE: wind, solar and storage for 24/7 power
  • Around 50 GW of repowering potential in Europe
Portrait of Dharini Mishra

Chief Brand & Reputation Officer, Suzlon Energy

Dharini Mishra

Panel: Energy security in times of war: exposure, price and dependence. Mon 19 October, 10:10–10:50 BST. Moderated by Verity Ratcliffe, Financial Times.

Dharini Mishra is Chief Brand & Reputation Officer of Suzlon Energy and a member of the Group Management Team. She leads the strategic repositioning of the Suzlon brand and reputation architecture, aligned with the Suzlon 2.0 vision, as the company evolves into a wind-first, full-stack clean energy solutions conglomerate.

She brings over two decades of experience across marketing, brand and corporate communications, with leadership roles at Suzlon Energy, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and multinational communications agencies. Her recognitions include Campaign India's A List, IBM's Top 50 Futuristic Chief Marketing Officers and the Chief Marketing Officer Hall of Fame. She is an alumna of the Wharton School, the Indian School of Business and the Kellogg School of Management.

Focus. The panel asks whether true energy security means producing more energy at home or managing exposure to global markets, and whether energy shocks strengthen the case for domestic renewables.

Points she will make

  • Domestic renewables cut exposure to global shocks
  • India’s wind supply chain is 64% domestic; Suzlon’s is 80%
  • Renewables were 85% of new global power capacity in 2025
