Suzlon strengthens the momentum towards a cleaner tomorrow

  • Initiated cleanliness drive around Gadisar Lake in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan 
  • 40 Suzlon employees actively participated  
  • 500 kgs of waste collected from the drive
Jaisalmer, India: Suzlon Group, one of the leading renewable energy solutions provider in the world, initiated a cleanliness drive around Gadisar Lake in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Gadisar Lake is a tourist attraction, however it was rendered dirty with its bank being littered with plastic bottles, plastic waste, immersed coconut and other kind of garbage. 40 employees from Suzlon’s Jaisalmer and Jodhpur wind sites participated in the drive and collected about 500 kgs of waste which was sent to Jaisalmer Municipal Council for rightful disposal.

Commenting on the initiative, J.P. Chalasani, Group CEO, Suzlon Group said: “We are pleased to contribute yet again in this nationwide cleanliness drive initiated by our Hon. Prime Minister. The drive witnessed active participation from our employees who strive towards keeping our sites and neighboring vicinity clean and green.

Cleanliness is a vital responsibility of every Indian citizen and it is very important to educate the masses. We will maintain the momentum towards a cleaner tomorrow by our active participation in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.”
