Suzlon secures orders in Romania, Portugal

Pune: Suzlon Energy A/S (SWEAS), the Europe and Latin America arm of Suzlon
Energy Limited, secured a major contract with Martifer for the delivery of 29 S88 – 2.1
MW turbines, totaling a capacity of 60.9 MW, to projects in Romania. This order
represents Suzlon’s first wind turbine order in Romania and is a major addition to the
company’s expanding global footprint. In addition, Suzlon and Martifer also signed a
contract for the supply of nine S88 turbines between the Baião and Vila Franca de Xira
wind farms in Portugal for a total 18.9 MW of capacity.

The orders are also the first supply of Suzlon wind turbines to Martifer of Portugal, a
major company within the energy and construction industry. The order for Romania is
already part of the consolidated order book position of the Company as declared on
30th July 2008.
