Suzlon wins another 50.40MW order from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited
- Third order to Suzlon from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)
- Installation of 24 wind turbines of S97-120m hybrid tower with rated capacity of 2.1MW each
- Also to offer operation and maintenance service for an initial period of 10 years through an Integrated Service Package
Pune, India: Suzlon Group, one of the leading global renewable energy solution providers, has
won a third order from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) for 50.40MW capacity
wind power project in India. The project comprises of 24 units of S97-120m hybrid towers with
rated capacity of 2.1MW each and is scheduled for completion by FY2017.
This third order is a testament of the faith reposed by customers in Suzlons proven ability to
execute high quality projects and reiterates the preference of Suzlon as a supplier of choice.
The S97-120m turbine is the latest product introduced by Suzlon and belongs to the reliable
and proven 2.1MW product platform. The S97 -120 m hybrid tower is the worlds tallest AllSteel
hybrid tower (120 meter height) design which combines both lattice and tubular
structures, designed indigenously to harness the potential from sub-optimal wind sites. It not
only delivers higher energy yield but also offers higher return-on-investment for our customers.
HPCL is a Government of India enterprise with a Navratna status, a Forbes 2000 and Global
Fortune 500 company and the second largest operator of integrated oil refining and oil
marketing company in India. Suzlon partnered HPCLs maiden foray in the non-conventional
energy space in the year 2007 and with this order, HPCLs total wind portfolio will increase to
100.90MW entirely powered by Suzlon.
