VIBRANT GUJARAT GLOBAL TRADE SHOW 2013

8th – 13th January 2012, Gandhinagar 

Suzlon participated in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show held in Gandhinagar in Gujarat. The mega scale event which ran for six days was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The event boasted of participation of over 1,000 firms from as many as 16 countries displaying their products. This biennial event organized under the aegis of the Gujarat government saw an exhibition running for all 6 days and  the Global Investors’ Summit  from 11th – 13th Jan.

 

On display were products and service innovations from key sectors such as renewable energy,  engineering and automobiles, oil and gas, energy and power, chemicals and petrochemicals, financial services, IT and IT-enabled Services, etc. Participating in this event, Suzlon’s stall of over 350 sq. meter stood out among others and garnered the interest of visitors with informative panel displays of Suzlon’s offerings, expertise and presence in Gujarat.



The Summit saw the presence of Shri Tulsi Tanti of Suzlon among other big corporate honchos of the country at the dais, reiterating Suzlon’s support to the ambitious development plans of the Government of Gujarat.

WIND POWER INDIA 2012

28TH – 30TH November 2012, Chennai 

Suzlon participated in the recently concluded Wind Power India 2012, international exhibition-cum-conference. The 3 day event organized by the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers’ Association and the Global Wind Energy Council took place in Chennai between November 28th and 30th and was inaugurated by Shri Farooq Abdullah, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy. This event is acclaimed as India’s largest wind power show.

Suzlon was a prominent participant in both the exhibition as well as the conference. The impressive Suzlon stall elicited a good response from visitors and boasted of the new milestone of Suzlon having achieved over 20GW wind power installations worldwide. Communication for this milestone was further amplified by displaying buntings along open spaces at the venue such as the walkway leading to the conference hall & exhibition center. From Suzlon, Mr.Chintan Shah, President – SBD & Corporate Affairs and Mr.Mahesh Vipradas, Head, Regulatory Affairs participated as speakers.

Renewable Energy India 2012

7th – 9th November 2012, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR

Suzlon participated in Renewable Energy India 2012 Expo - Asia’s largest event on renewable energy held at the India Expo Center, Greater Noida, National Capital Region of Delhi. The 3 day event commenced on 7th November & concluded on 9th November 2012.

As a consistent market leader in wind energy, Suzlon took this opportunity to exhibit its competencies & product offerings at its stall. With a range of manufacturers in the renewable energy sector exhibiting their portfolio, Suzlon’s stall, spanning an area of 120 sqmtr stood out with its strategic location & informational panels.

Vidulka 2012

17th– 19thAugust 2012, Colombo, Sri Lanka

Suzlon participated in Vidulka 2012 - the premier national sustainable energy event of Sri Lanka. It is an annual event held under the patronage of the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA) of the Power and Energy Ministry and was held at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Colombo, Sri Lanka from 17th– 19thAugust 2012.

The exhibition provided an ideal platform for Suzlon to showcase its competence in the South Asian market of Sri Lanka – which already boasts of the first commercial 10 MW wind power project at Kalpitiya site for the Senok Group undertaken by Suzlon. Another 21 MW WPP is under execution and this will take Suzlon’s installed presence to 31 MW.

Through this event, Suzlon reiterated the fact that it is best positioned to serve this emerging market in the South Asia region.

The other exhibitors at the event included industrialists, manufactures, suppliers and innovators from the energy sector who also showcased their products to commercial, industrial and residential energy users.


Suzlon’s stall at Vidulka

Global Investors Summit (GIM) 2012, Karnataka

6th– 8thJune2012, Bangalore, Karnataka

Suzlon participated and exhibited in the Global Investors Summit 2012 (GIM) - a biennial summit held by the Government of Karnataka in Bangalore. The mega event, which took place at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre between 6th– 8thJune, 2012 comprised of an exhibition as well as a conference, both of which Suzlon was a part of.

The conference witnessed the presence of Mr.Tulsi Tanti, chairman and managing director of the Suzlon Group,among other doyens of the Indian industry, global majors and high-profile delegations on day 1 of the conference.

This was an event of strategic importance, redefining the relationship Suzlon has with the state of Karnataka. Suzlon signed an expression of interest with the state government to develop new wind power capacity in the state between 2012 and 2017. GIM 2012 reinforced Karnataka's position as one of India's leading markets in wind energy, and Suzlon’s support to the state in its attempt towards creating a low-carbon economy in the state.

The three day exhibition, which ran parallel to the conference, saw the participation of exhibitors ranging from the private sector to several State Government bodies. Suzlon had set up an impressive stall to showcase its Group capabilities and competence, which saw an enthusiastic response from visitors.


RENERGY 2012

12th – 13th March 2012, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Organised by- Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency (TEDA)

RENERGY 2012

This event had a strategic importance since Tamil Nadu accounts for about 33% of total installed capacity in the country and Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency (TEDA) has been the nodal agency for renewable energy in the state. The exhibition saw the participation of noted names from all RE segments. Suzlon’s stall received a stupendous response, with good number of visitors and enquiries.

RENERGY 2012

The international conference which ran parallel to the exhibition was an ideal ground for interaction and voicing of views on renewable energy by both policy makers and professionals at the same dais. The conference focused towards enabling India become even more attractive to renewable energy investors and entrepreneurs. From Suzlon, Mr. Ravindra Utgikar, Sr. General Manager –International Business Unit, made a presentation on ‘Low Wind Turbines’.

Energy conservation exhibition 2012

13th – 15th March 2012, Vashi,Mumbai

ENERGY CONSERVATION EXHIBITION 2012

Suzlon participated in the Energy Conservation Exhibition 2012 organised by Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) at Vashi, Mumbai. The exhibition was inaugurated by Thane district’s Guardian Minister & Unconventional Energy Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Ganesh Naik. The occasion was also graced by other eminent officials from MEDA & MMRE and saw the participation of 70 companies in the unconventional energy market.

Many visitors at the Suzlon stall expressed their admiration of Suzlon’s work in Maharashtra, which mirrored strong support and customer satisfaction with the company’s contribution to renewable energy in the state.

SUZLON'S PARTICIPATION IN THE 3RD WE20 BY 2020

Feb 2012

Suzlon was a sponsor and exhibitor in the 3rd Renewable Energy Conference and Exhibition- WE20 By 2020 held from 5th to 7th February 2012 at Coimbatore. The 3 day exhibition and 2 day conference was organized by The Indian Wind Power Association (IWPA) and World Wind Energy Association (WWEA), Bonn, Germany and saw the participation of leading names in the wind energy sector both in the conference as well as the exhibition.

The inaugural address for the conference was made by Dr.Farookh Abdullah, Hon. Minister, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. The conference gave further reasons to ponder upon the ways to augment wind penetration to 20% of the energy mix by the year 2020, being a continuation of the previous year’s conference. From Suzlon, South Marketing Head -Dr. V.B. Rao and Head Corporate Marketing- Mr. Ravindra Utgikar participated as speakers.

As a supreme sponsor, Suzlon had put up an impressive exhibition stall of over 128 sqmtr area, prominently featuring the brand campaign to promote over 1GW order book achievement for its new S9X suite of wind turbines. This well built up stall won Suzlon the Best Stall award.

Suzlon’s messaging and branding was further amplified by displaying it along other open spaces at the venue such as the corridor leading to the conference hall.


 


INDIA ENGINEERING SOURCING SHOW, 2012

22nd – 24th March 2012, Mumbai, Maharashtra  

Organised by - Ministry of Commerce and Industry & Engineering Export Promotion Council of India

The Suzlon group companies comprising of Suzlon Energy Ltd. (SEL), SE Electrical & SE Forge successfully showcased the group’s wind energy and engineering capabilities at the India Engineering Sourcing Show 2012 (IESS) organized by Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC) between 22-24 March, 2012 at Mumbai. Adding the icing on the cake, the Suzlon stall was adjudged as the recipient of the trophy for the ‘Best Pavilion by Large Enterprise’ in this event, which saw participation from more than 300 exhibitors from India and abroad. 

600 international business delegates from Sri Lanka, USA, Canada, Europe, Middle East, ASEAN, Africa, CIS and LAC participated in the various seminars which ran parallel to the exhibition, with a view to highlight India as a "Technology Hub". From Suzlon, Mr. Ravindra Utgikar – Head, Corporate Marketing elucidated his views on   "Leading the Development of Sustainable RE market and role of wind energy in India” at the seminar session on cleantech.

The extraordinary response attracted by the event creates the premises for continuous future developments and Suzlon’s continuing stronghold in the marketplace. All the three participating businesses of the group had an opportunity to interact with loads of prospective and interested customers as well as vendors thus leading to accumulation of number of useful business enquiries.

Apart from the exhibition stall display, Suzlon had also displayed a series of panels along the approach road to the exhibition stall. These panels promoted the prowess of India’s wind energy sector especially to the visiting overseas delegates. This strategically located display boards too were appreciated by many visitors and in fact led a number of visitors to Suzlon’s stall for seeking more information on the subject.
