Suzlon’s presence in Brazil
Since establishing operations in 2006, Suzlon Energia Eólica do Brasil has grown to become a leading wind turbines supplier in the country, with over 388 MW of installed capacity and more 363 MW currently under construction. Showing rapid development in the country, Suzlon has successfully installed 185 turbines in 11 operating projects, one of them the biggest wind farm in commercial operation in Brazil, Praia Formosa, with 150 MW. Suzlon’s geographic presence in Brazil is distributed in Ceará, São Paulo and Paraíba States. Ceará is home to the headquarters, the 24 Hour Monitoring Center and the bottom panel production and hub assembling facilities. In this state is also located the blade production facility, in partnership with independent manufacturer Aeris. The wind farms operated by Suzlon are distributed in Ceará and Paraíba states, both in the Northeast region. In São Paulo is located the sales and administrative office, to serve customers in the Southwest region. |
