China

Suzlon's Joint Venture company, Suzlon Energy (Tianjin) Limited was established as a wholly foreign owned enterprise by Suzlon Energy Ltd in 2006, to capture the leading wind market in the world. Its business scope encompassed a gamut of activities including research and development of wind power technology, production and sales of wind power generators, related equipment and spare parts; design and construction of wind power factories; and technology consulting services.

Suzlon's presence in the Chinese market was further consolidated with the setting up of a JV in 2013, demonstrating Suzlon's commitment to China. Suzlon Energy (Tianjin) Limited's sprawling manufacturing campus, listed in Tianjin Hi-tech Industrial park, is an integrated production site with installed capacity of 600 MW per year, complete with a range of testing facilities. It has already installed projects totalling 928.8MW and 671 wind turbines.
